August 2026 Notice Regarding Washington Wildfires
To everyone affected by the fires,
Please know that the Council stands with you during this incredibly difficult time.
We recognize the hardship of being displaced, caring for family and friends, and facing an uncertain road ahead. Please stay safe. When it is safe to do so, document any damage, expenses, and communications that may be important during the recovery process.
Communities have rebuilt many times, and occasionally we are called upon to help with that rebuilding. Take the time you need to care for yourself and your loved ones. When you are able, please consider stepping in to help someone else.
The Council will still be here when the immediate crisis has passed.
Be safe. Be kind. We may not always see what others are carrying, but kindness is free.

WASHINGTON WILDFIRE ASSISTANCE AND DONATION RESOURCES

American Red Cross – Northwest Region
The American Red Cross has established resources to assist individuals and families affected by the Washington wildfires. The shelter is providing food, overnight accommodations, parking, showers, and space for people and pets.

Partners Inland Northwest
Partners Inland Northwest is assisting families who have lost homes or belongings. The organization is accepting:
- Nonperishable food
- Clothing
- Diapers
- Hygiene products
- Financial contributions
Donation Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Additional Community Support
- Catholic Charities Eastern Washington has established an emergency fund to assist individuals and families affected by the fires. Donations can be made at https://give.cceasternwa.org/give/511873.
- YMCA of the Inland Northwest locations are providing showers and temporary space for evacuees who need a place to rest and regroup. A valid photo ID is required.
Support Our Firefighters Our deepest gratitude goes to the firefighters and first responders who continue working tirelessly to protect lives and property.
